Treatment for Chronic Pain

Healing from Chronic Pain:

A 6-Week Program

Chronic pain and persistent symptoms can impact every aspect of life—often leading to fear, frustration, isolation, and hopelessness. This 6-week group program is designed to help participants better understand the brain-body connection while learning practical tools to reduce persistent pain and neuroplastic symptoms.

Grounded in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), this program combines neuroscience education, somatic awareness, emotional regulation, and behavioural change. Rather than focusing solely on eliminating pain, the group encourages participants to move toward meaningful living—even when symptoms fluctuate. The goal is not perfection, but increased comfort, capacity, and connection; the group format offers the added benefit of connecting with others who truly understand the challenges of living with chronic pain.

The Chronic Pain Professional Practice Group

The Chronic Pain Practice Group is a professional practice group for clinicians working in the chronic pain space— physicians, social workers, psychotherapists, and others. It is a monthly, virtual peer consultation group where practitioners can connect, reflect, and get support from colleagues who truly understand the complexity of this work.

We welcome clinicians treating a range of conditions— including fibromyalgia, IBS, migraines, and other persistent symptoms— not only those working explicitly in pain.

Spaces are limited to 8 participants. If you are interested in joining the next cohort or would like more information, please contact us at hello@aldertherapy.ca.
